Cultivate Humor!
Being in solitude by choice a lot, I talk to myself, and amuse myself quite a bit too. It's as if The Presence and I have a private conversation going much of the time. Today I was feeding the chickens when the internal conversation went to how narrow the concepts and stereotypes of spiritual teachers are. Which is exceedingly silly, so The Presence and I laughed.

What does "work" and "play" really mean anymore?
Work is fun. I LOVE it. I can't stop doing it.
If I were a billionaire, I'd still choose to do it.
But the words get in the way -- it's funny calling things "work" and "not work"
and "play" and "not play"...
... it's all good.

Someone I like offered me a lotta money to take on another project with him.
So when I told him, "I have a long list of projects to get done, and I don't want more work",
I meant I choose variety and balance in my life.
Work is fun. I LOVE it. I can't stop doing it.

I’ve spent a lovely, rainy weekend on the IONS campus outside Petaluma, California sitting in on Jean Houston’s Mystery School. It’s empowering and grounding, sitting with 60 people, 54 of them women, who are exploring and sharing the end of an age.... to create "What Comes Next".
